The Laweyan Mosque, standing firmly in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Solo City, holds a long historical story and stunning architectural charm. Built during the Pajang Kingdom around 1546, this mosque has been named the oldest mosque in the city of Solo, even older than the Great Mosque of Surakarta. Its existence is not only a place of worship, but also a silent witness to the journey of Islamic civilization in Java. The Laweyan Mosque has gone through various phases of renovation, but its typical Javanese architecture is still preserved.
